HMRC – Advisory fuel rates are changing from March 1st 2017.

HMRC Advisory Fuel Rates –

HMRC have made changes to their “Advisory Fuel Rates”.

The changes to the AFR will be enforced from the 1st of March 2017, every driver needs to be aware of these changes, while claiming their mileage in March and thereafter!

What ratings the HMRC have changed?

The HMRC have changed the rating for LPG vehicle’s that are over 2000cc. It has  increased by a penny for every mile driven! The rates therefore have changed from 13p to 14p

The HMRC have also made changes to the petrol vehicle’s that are over 2000cc by increasing the rating from 21p to 22p per mile. Yet again, this is an increase of 1p per mile.

These are the only rates that are being changed this quarter.

The rates now –

Engine Sizes Petrol vehicle – cost per mile LPG vehicle – cost per mile.
1400cc or less 11p 7p
1401 to 2000cc 14p 9p
Over 2000cc 21p 13p

1401 to 2000cc 14 9p
